Post your simple pleasures - little things that brighten your day
Just wanted to share-- Yesterday evening as I was walking I was just talking to God and praying for peace in my body and life. I looked up at the sky and there in front of me the clouds had formed what looked just like a white dove. It was huge. I could easily see the wings spread out and the head, just like it was flying above me!

In all fairness, since I gripped in my other post, I love plaing babies with my 2 year old. We bath her, dress her, rock her, even let her suck her thumb before we put her to sleep, which includes a ba-ba, a blankie, a foot massage (yes-spoiling), and a little kiss.
And I LOVE making brownies with my son- and cornbread. Here's to memories that last a lifetime!

Your greatest challenge isn't someone else. It's the aching i your lungs & the burning in your legs & the voice inside you that yells "CAN'T". But you don't listen. You push harder & hear the voice that whispers "CAN". An you realize that the person you thought you were is no match for the one you REALLY ARE.
Hi everyone. Been away, busy and overworked! But my simple pleasure for today is:
As I was driving to a restaurant tonight I noticed a ground hog standing vertically along the side of the road and watching the cars go by. Kind of like Meerkat Manor the way they stand and survey their surroundings. It just made me laugh out loud how silly the little guy looked.

This may seam kinda silly to some of you, but it meant the world to me. I had been craving this waffle for almost 3 weeks, and just did not have the courage to go out to the dinner and get it. Finnaly after tons of atempts, being scared out of my mind, and several tears later, I was going to get that waffle. I remember telling myself..."I dont care if I die today, all I want is to just taste that waffle." I got there by the faith of god and ordered, paced the floor till it was ready, and quickly returned home. I sat there looking at my waffle for about 5 mins and began to cry, I then said..."I did it!" I even took a picture of it, thats how happy I was. I will keep this picture forever just as a reminder to myself that I am stronger then I think sometimes, and have to believe in myself more. We all take numerous things for granted on a daily basis, and often look at things and situations like this as nothing. But to me, after all I had went through...this very waffle meant the world to me. <IMG SRC="http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z154 ... waffle.jpg">

My simple pleasures are....
watching the sunset
a hot cup of organic coffee in the morning
a foot rub at the end of the day
working in my yard
hearing my kids talk about important issues
babies... gotta love em'
CHEESECAKE
not having to cook
watching a good movie
going through dizzler.com and finding music that brings back some old, but very good memories... turn it UP!
complimenting others and watching their face light up!

When strangers smile at me. There is a shared happy sweet energy, kind of like a little kiss on the cheek, but not so intimate. I enjoy! I appreciate!
P.S. Mary, I absolutely know what Harvest Festivals are, and they are part of my autumn memories. I have found those fabulous scarecrows (scaled down sizes) at the big huge volume buy stores. I saw some last week in Albuquerque. I put mine up first of September and leave up until after Thanksgiving. We have a Hobby Lobby, and all the parts are there to make the scarecrow, too.
