



I have a subscription to PREVENTION magazine. It's a really cool & informative magazine. On the front cover, it says, <span class="ev_code_RED">SMART WAYS TO LIVE WELL.</span> Something in its "SEPT" issue caught my eye. I wanted to share it w/ y'all. GUIDELINES FOR LIFE
Remember that happiness, peace, and love are NOT in material thingS or somewhere outside us but are foUnd within & need to be nurtured. Here are some GUIDELINES that will help you through life:
- It's okay to be who you are. You only need to compete w/ yourself to improve & become a better person.
- Treat yourself with care: You are your best friend.
- Throw any resentments you hold for others & laugh more often.
- Touch others by being a good listener & appeciaing their thoughts & opinions.
- Say no to risky behavior.
- Forgive yourself for not being perfect.
- Eat well, exercise, & take your vitamins. Your body is your temple.
- Realize how much your family loves you.
- Regularly re-evaluate your life to keep a clear focus on where you are going.
- Remember to appreciate nature, look for what is new each & every day, and hold the Earth & its people close to your heart.
<span class="ev_code_RED">How can we make our dreams & goals happen? It's so important to hold on to dreams & goals & stir the creative imagination to exand our horizons. Sometimes we are faced w/ unanticiipated challenges, those PEAKS & VALLEYS that mark the road map of life. They come in all shapes & sizes, at all times & places. When we are faced w/ these trials, we need to ask ourselves, "What am I going to do about it? How can I learn from this experience & grow into a better person?" </span>ARDATH RODALE
