Full body rash

I went home last night after work and took off my sweater that I had been wearing all day and noticed that my arms were covered with a blotchy red rash. I automatically began to panic and when I went in to look in the mirror it is on my legs and my back as well. I thought that possibly it would go away with a cool shower, and when I finished my shower it seemed to help a little. This morning I woke up with the same rash! I am trying to not have a panic attack but I am terrified! Has anyone had this??

It sounds like you may be allergic to something. Possibly the sweater you wore???? I became allergic to wool all of a sudden and broke out in horrible rashes whenever I came near it. Any new medications you have taken maybe. New laundry detergent. Might be good to check with a dermatologist.

Thank you! I did try a new laundry detergent but I never think that simple!! It has to be worse case scenario for me! I try to calm myself but then the negative thoughts swarm me and I think that it is something severely wrong.
