What are your most happiest thoughts/memories
Crazy horse posted on the spiritual forum about a song that he heard in church...well that inspired me to reminace on childhood memories with my family at church and church camp..those are wonderful memories for me!!! The family trips we would take, piled up in that green station wagon(Kinda like the "Bradys" car..LOL) Singing church songs at the top of our lungs!!! Gosh that was GREAT!!
Anyone care to share their most treasured memories or thoughts????

"O God, you are my God. Earnestly I seek you;my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is BETTER than life,my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name, I will lift up my hands." Psalms 63
Awwe, a wonderful topic!
There were many childhood memories that bring music to my heart. We had a large family and growing up somewhat poor because of it made us appreciate the little things in life. We used to go for bottle drives or paper drives to help the poor in our community. All of us little people knocking on doors and collecting pop bottles and newspapers. It was a wonderful feeling of love and appreciation for your fellow man. All my brothers would sing and make up crazy lyrics to music we would make up as well. Just some wonderful good times!

I am Catholic, but I attended public schools. So, to make my "Sacriments" I attended C.C.D. classes @ Catholic schools(for my COMMUNION + CONFIRMATION). Anyhow, in grade school sometime(can't remember exact age, lol), I attended a CATHOLIC/CHRISTIAN DAY CAMP. I remember coming back fr some bus trip to I don't remember where, lol & the "grownup"/group leader wanted to wake us up(all us kids fell asleep on the bus). Very softly, she would start singing either of 2 songs:
1) <span class="ev_code_RED">]"Go tell it on a mountain, over the hills & everywhere, go tell it on a mountain that Jesus Christ was born"/COLOR]
2) [COLOR:RED]"Rise & shine & give God your glory glory, rise & shine & give God your glory glory, rise & shine give God your glory glory children of the lord. It rained & rained for 40 days & days, it rained & rained for 40 days & days..."</span>
Awwwwwwwww, nice memories!!!
:p(except my technical singing ability, hahahhahahaha).

My favorite time as a child was spend at the library. It was a place that was quiet and I could go anywhere or be anyone I wanted. Books were my comfort(still are)Homelife was very stressful as a child and a teen but always peace in the rows of the library. The library here in this town is loud and just does not have that that special feel.So I get my books and get out of there fast.

My happiest memories where when I was at high school, although at the time I couldn't wait to leave, I would go back to them times in an instant now if I could. No worries about money, Certainly no worries about anxiety, chasing after girls, the sneeky smokes down by the bike shed, getting drunk for the first time. Life was so less complicated back then than it is now.
Happy Memories...wow! I think maybe finding those memories is the cause of half my issues! Anyway, I have some, but most start after I was living on my own.
1. My wedding day! One of the best days of my life. Being one who is wrecked with anxiety at being the center of attention I was king on my wedding day. I woke up, showered, got dressed and never once thought about those who would be in attendance, would I fall, would I fail, just me and my (soon to be bride) fulfilling a lifetime dream. It was a great day!
2. While the birth of both children was an incredible experience, the birth of my first child was damn special! I could not believe there was a little me coming into the world. Yup! They say until you have a kid your wedding day is the best day ever, they were right. Wedding day holds high ranks, but the kids....nothing like it in the world!
3. This goes to my anxiety fight. I recently got back into a working house fire, no fear of death, anxiety, panic, etc. I had backed myself off the front line while I fought this problem and coming full circle, almost 12 months, getting back in to do the job (even as a volunteer) with my fellow firefighters was incredible. The struggle was long and hard, but it is possible to overcome and for that the day holds a lot of memories that only this group may ever understand, minus the running into a burning building.
