I had a strange today. Today is my birthday. My mom took off from work to come over and hang out. I hadn't seem my mom since Father's Day and for some reason I was so nervous for her to come over. I felt so sick to my stomach, dizzy, my head felt heavy and fuzzy... and all the usual symptoms. When she came over I felt myself having mini anxiety attacks. But after a few minutes, I felt better. I opened presents, we looked at pictures, took a ride in her convertible to pick up lunch, and sat outside on the patio. Me and my family are very close so I don't know why I felt this anxiety at first.

I feel so happy now. I haven't felt so happy in awhile. My boyfriend even commented on how happy I seemed today. I enjoy moments like this because they usually disappear fast. It's so strange to feel like this since I am so used to being worried or afraid. I am trying to just enjoy this feeling for as long as I can.

I wonder if that initial nervousness was a bit of: Unrealistic expectations? So glad you didn't let those thoughts spoil your birthday.

HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!! :)

First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! And, you know what, you are sooooo lucky your mom took of work to spend time with you today! I wish I had that, my birthday is next week and I won't even hear from my mom. It doesn't matter if you felt anxiety, you made it through and ended up having a nice birthday! Good for you, be so proud of yourself. Suzzie

GI822, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! It sounds like you had a wonderful day. Your Mom seems very supportive. That is so good. I'm so glad to hear you are feeling so happy again. You stayed in the beautiful moment of today and felt really good. That is really all any of us have is the moment. The more you work on the program, the more happy moments you will have. They will last longer and longer. Don't let yourself get into those negative thoughts that this won't last. It WILL last. You are special and strong and persistent. You can make this happen. It is the miracle of life. Yes, we all will have some tough days, but they will pass and the important thing is our reaction to them. We need to stop wallowing in them and creating more misery for ourselves. God has given each and every one of us the power to create a meaningful, abundant life. It sounds like you are heading in a great direction. Keep up your good work and the happy feelings will chase you down!!!

Warm wishes, Donna
