Hello All,
I just wanted to confirm that the chat prayer is every Friday at 8, Is that correct? I missed it this past Friday.

So I just wanted to add a prayer all though I was not a part of the group prayer.

Almighty God, free us from our anxieties, fears and our worries and help us become victorious over all of our difficulties. Help us to let go and let You take charge, knowing that as we do, things are bound to come out right. We pray not only for ourselves but for the sick, the troubled and for those who are confused and in turmoil. Give us wisdom, understanding and strength. We ask this in Jesus' name. Through Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen

*D* So good to hear from you. I wondered why I hadn't seen you on. Looking forward to the good news.

Shelly, Thanks for the prayers. We can always use prayers for anxiety. When one person struggles another is doing better and vice versa. Hubby and I hauled most everything in the garage to recycling and Goodwill..a good feeling :)Now we're able to park in the garage again. :)

Dear ones, as I was praying last night, in the car on our way home from another Honor Guard Detail. I though how this month had gotten so busy, with all the things I love. The branding went very well 57 people for dinner, and I had help from my husbands cousins, from Claifornia, and he helped my husband replace the flor in the traylor. so a week of good company, then a week in Vegas with my mom, and kids. then a week of dinners for 8 - 10 moveing the cattle out to pastuer with our neighbors help. time with my great Aunt (91). This has been a world wind of a month, and June is here now, and we will be hitting the hay.

Then I read this morning a note from New Life, about the 23rd salm,

What are your summer plans? I hope they include spending time with loved ones, connecting with friends and finding some time to just relax and recharge your batteries! I love Psalms 23 especially verses 2-3: “He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside the quiet water, He restoreth my soul.” Are you allowing Him to lead you beside the quiet waters? Or is your life so fast paced that you can’t tell if He’s leading you or you’re running ahead of him right past the stream? I pray you will take some time and just be still this summer and allow God to restore your soul.

Happy summer,

10 Tips to Freedom from Fear

by Steve Arterburn

1. Some fear is normal. Everyone has the "butterflies in the stomach" feeling once in a while. Fear crosses the line into unhealthy anxiety when it controls and disrupts your life. If fear has a dominating grip on your life, you must begin the process of dealing with it or it will keep you from fulfilling your God-designed potential. For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. ~2 Tim. 1:7

2. If your fear seems irrational and erratic, you may have a biological disposition to anxiety problems. While medication is not the answer to all fear problems, it can mean life-changing freedom for those who have certain chemical imbalances in their brain. An experienced psychiatrist can help you determine if your fear has a biological or emotional root cause.

3. Some people's unhealthy fear has its root in a lack of trust. Because they've been deceived by a family member or trusted friend, they find it difficult to trust the sovereignty of God. If we really believe God is in control of our lives, desperate situations don't seem as frightening. In God I have put my trust, I shall not be afraid. ~Psalm 56:4

4. Many anxiety disorders are exacerbated by inactivity. Regular physical exercise can have significant emotional benefits, due to the release of calming chemical agents in your brain. After consulting a physician, determine to find an exercise routine, perhaps walking or swimming, which you enjoy enough to do daily.

5. People who struggle with fear often isolate themselves, which is one of the worst things they can do. We need to know that we are not alone as we face life's challenges. Just as we need a regular time of intimate fellowship with God, we need the strength and encouragement that comes from sharing our lives with others on an intimate level. And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another. ~Hebrews 10:24,25

6. Examine the root cause of your fear. Does your fear seem irrational or is there some traceable root cause? Honest self-examination, perhaps with the help of a trusted friend or mental health professional, is a great place to start.

7. What you eat affects your body chemistry. Caffeine, sugar and others chemicals can act as a stimulant and magnify anxiety. See if cutting out certain foods changes your emotional state.

8. People who struggle with fear are often unreasonably pessimistic about the future. When your brain tells you to expect the worst, examine the coming situation in light of God's perspective and His commitment to standing with you in all situations " He Himself has said " I will never desert you, nor will I forsake you" so that we confidently say, "the Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What shall man do to me?" ~Hebrews 13:5,6

9. Fear and anxiety are not necessarily signs of unbelief, as some in the Christian community would contend. The myth that becoming a Christian exempts you from emotional problems has caused many wonderful, faithful people to live their lives trapped in a prison of fear. Take a chance and share your struggle with a Christian friend, pastor or therapist. You may find the direction and encouragement you need to start down the path of emotional freedom.

10. The oft-quoted statement "We have nothing to fear but fear itself" is usually true. Think back to fearful situations and examine the outcome. Things weren't as bad as you feared, were they? Examine how God protected you and used difficult times to mold and shape you. His track record for faithfulness is unblemished.

OH! God "<span class="ev_code_RED">If we really believe God is in control of our lives, desperate situations don't seem as frightening. In God I have put my trust, I shall not be afraid. ~Psalm 56:4</span> I have hung my recovery on this verse. when ever I feel anxiety about a situation, I remind my self "God is in controle, God directs my steps", and this morning I feel drawn to pray for you all, to remember this too!!! Thanks Cheri for that encouragement. I'm asking for prayer from everyone. I've got poison ivy and I'm not handling it very well..not sleeping well either as you can tell by the time. It's either itching a lot or burning hot fire. Anyone had it? What did you use. When does it go away? I broke out Tues. night.

I'm not handling this poison ivy very well and have become crabby. Pray that I could still have a sweet spirit thru all this.

Would a baking soda paste or even taking a tub bath with baking soda in the water help? I would think if the water were cool, it would help more. Yes, I will keep you in my prayers. Going through this Stress Management thing is hard enough without having poison ivy.

I discern in my bodily members (in the sensitive appetites and wills of the flesh) a different law [rule of action] at war against the law of my mind [my reason] and making me a prisoner to the law of sin that dwells inmy bodily organs [in the sensitive appetites and wills of the flesh]. Who will release and deliver me from {the shackles of} this body of death! O thank God! [He will} through Jesus Christ 9the Anointed one) my Lord! ROmans 7;23-25

I am more than a conqueror through Christ Who loves me. - Romands 8;37

I abstain from the sensual urges 9the evil desires, the passions of the flesh, my lower nature) that wage war against my soul I must conduct myself properly )honorable, righteously_. 1 Peter 2; 11-12

I will be well balanced 9temperate, sober of mind), vigilant and cantious at all times; for tht enemy of mine, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to size upon and devour. -1 Peter 5;8

Grounding my prayer on these scriptuers, knowing you are feeling defensles and open to attack, I am praying for you speedy recovery, Understanding that God's pure and faithrull Love will cover, you and as I wrote yesterday, God is in control, and He is directing yours steps. I am giving you an Affermation to help you to keep from scratching and spreading the problem.

I thought I asked for prayer before on here for my friend Pat but see I didn't. Been to focused on healing completely from the poison ivy and now having much anxiety about my friend.

Please pray for Pat who had hip surgery 9 days ago. She has not slept much at all. Pray for peaceful rest and that she'll be able to sit still. She is not herself at all as she's swearing and she NEVER does that. I feel so bad for her but will go visit again later today with another friend. Pat is very anxious. God help her please!

Pat was acting crazy last night and my friend and I kinda played along with her. We were all laughing at times and figured it was better than her crying but still we knew she just wasn't right. Today they took her by ambulance to a bigger town that has a Psych. ward. I talked to her tonite there and she seemed a little better. Her sister will come from Minneapolis and be with her 24/7 when she gets home. Her husband is always so busy with the farm. Please continue to pray for my friend!
