More support please!
Hello!I wrote a post a couple of days ago about needing support because I'm trying to face a big fear. The Joyce Meyer conference is tonight. This will be the first time that I will be in any type of crowd in a long time. The fear is rearing up.It's really not an option for me.I really need to go.It's part of my healing.Very important to me!Please pray that I may have the strength to go through with this.If I back out I give into the anxiety.I've worked too hard to let the anxiety take over again.Thank you all so much!
I'm on your side. I'm sure everyone here is on your side.
I know it's important to you to go and not cave into the fear. It's important for your healing. But if you make it a "life or death" thing, you're adding to the anxiety. Know that you're going to be alright no matter what happens. Make it smaller so it's not so overwhelming. Then after you go, and come back, you can make it big knowing that you've taken a big step in the direction you want to go in.
God Bless.

Keep this in your thoughts: They are just people, like you. Some of them are probably even more nervous than you. Instead of spending your thoughts on self worry when you are there, notice all the people who might benefit from your understanding and kindness toward them. Enjoy, don't sweat it so much. My mother used to tell me this when I had to give reports at school (which made me anxious): Don't spend all your time looking in the mirror. Pretend you are inside the mirror, looking out.
