Hi everyone. I'm new to the group and hoping to find other's who are similar to me. I suffer with GAD and agoraphobia. I also have PVC's, which only makes my anxiety worse. I'm really hoping that this course is going to be my ticket out of this crazy thing that seems to consume most of my life. I'm sure most all of you feel the same way. Anyway, just wanted to say hello. :)
Later, T

Hi, T! Welcome!

I have seen others use the PVC abbreviation to describe something that they have or is going on with them. Do you mind if I ask what PVC is?

PVC's=
Premature Ventricular Contractions means extra heart beats that cause an irregularity or abnormality in the usual rhythm of the heart.
This condition is fairly common and usually does not cause any harm. Have you ever felt like your heart "skips" a beat? Sometime you can feel it in your throat. Well, your heart is not actually skipping a beat, it is an extra heart beat basically.

Hello T ;

Welcome .I hope you can get what you are looking for here . I have made some incredible breaktroughs in my short time here . There are several reasons for that .To name a few I'll say the top of the list is that I am truely applying myself to this program ,you must want it in order for it to work , The second is that I post on the forum at least once a day ,on selected threads (Topics ) based on how I feel ,third is that on the top right of this site you will see NEW USER PEER SUPPORT ,chose to stay in the month you started in , you will find others like you who are taking little steps ,the commorodery is great and you will not feel out of sinc , start out slow and with people you learn systematically what you are dealing with,the last leads you back to the first ,dont give up ,belive it will work "accept" and do not surrender to setbacks if any will arise . with that said Happy trails .
Regards ,miguel

Hi T,
I am new here too and so far have found tons of information. I went through the program about 6 years ago and I can tell you it really works. Going through it over again because I’m having some difficult times right now. I was wondering if you drink a lot of caffeine? I know when I had some of my worst panic attacks it felt like my heart would beat out of my chest. I found that not having caffeine helped a lot. Now if I do have it I know why my heart is beating so fast. Just a thought. Welcome!

Hi T,
I have been to the forum off and on for years and it is very resourceful and helpful in times of anxiety. I also have PVC's and suffer on a daily basis. Sometimes it causes anxiety for me and at one point drove me bonkers daily but I remember what my EP dr. said to me, "They are life annoying not life threatening"
The program is wonderful and will help you find peace by identifying other things that may bother you. For me I found that I used the heart condition as the primary reason for my panic and anxiety but working in the workbook help me find another truth. If you go under the find tab and put in PVC's you will come across a lot of people here who suffer from them and find ways of coping with living with them and finding ways to cope with the anxiety they bring.
Welcome.
