does smokin cause anxiety

i dont smoke but i do sometimes an wen i do i wake up in a panic an im confused withracing thoughts an sweating could it be me just thinkin that an making it happen or is it from smoking does any1 have any good advice

Besides don't smoke? Smoking does cause you to feel more alert, your heart can race (especially if you're not used to it), and generally excite your nervous system.

Truthfully though, you would probably have panic attacks without smoking. Thousands of people smoke because it's pleasurable to them, and I can't imagine anyone enjoying a panic attack. However, you may have mentally attached the two so not smoking would definately be a great first step.

Next you should explore the program or some other anxiety reduction plan. Panic attacks come from a complicated chain of events and start many years before they generally manifest. They're caused by many things including personality, genetics, early childhood, choices, and belief systems.

It helps to realize that you are in fact causing the panic attacks. You probably don't believe me, but trust me, it's a good thing. If you are causing it, you can stop it. The trick is figuring out how you got in this predicament, change the behaviors that keep you here, and make positive new choices. It sounds easy, and it can be, but you have to do the work.
