I am just curious, has anyone found themselves in the situation that the program has hurt rather than help them?

hmmm. . Not me. If anything it may not help you butt I don't see how it could hurt you. That is interesting though. . The program is very positive and had goos skills. . Has it hurt you more than it's helped?

Not at all,
How do you feel it has hurt you?
Try to stay positive and continue. It can only get better from here.
Wish you well

Definitely hasn't hurt me. As Lucinda alludes to in the program, you may just be changing (for the better!) into someone you're not familiar with (yet). It will take some time to get used to the new you, but it is definitely a good thing, so go with it! ;-)

Good luck!

I don't see any conceivable way the program can hurt your progress. However, it's not uncommon to resent certain aspects of the program. I found that myself when I was going through it.
I think it was because, at that time, I was having a hard time dealing with this as a mental issue. I was convinced there was something terribly wrong with my physical body. So I kept worrying that I was not dealing with the right issue.
Also, being a man, I felt the program was strongly biased towards women's issues. I still think that's true but most of the information is applicable to both sexes (except all the stuff about pregnancy, child birth & PMS) ;)
The program is not perfect and it is not always the right solution for everyone’s condition. But it does cover panic, fear, GAD and depression pretty well. However, if you have a more serious physiological condition, you might want to seek professional help, especially if you feel the program is NOT helpful to your condition.
Either way, I think the program is safe for all, just not necessarily affordable to all.
God Bless and Peace be with you.

Lucy - What happens when you do any program or read any material is that you are gathering information. You take from this information what works for you and you let the rest go. There are many tools to work with in recovery from PA, depression, agoraphobia, etc. Some tools work for some, others work better for other people. You try them to see which ones work for you. They all have value for those who use them.

Your mind will try to self sabotage you. "It" doesn't want to change so "it" will tell you all kinds of things to keep you from moving forward.

You may wish to be more specific so that we can help you understand the dynamics of the program.

I found that for awhile it may have made me focus on some things more which 'felt' a little worse, but I really needed to work on these issues to get better.
