As I was driving through town today, I heard a song on the radio that really got to my core being today..that song was " One life to love". I had to ask myself this question, "Robin, why must you always complain about circumstances in life?" Afterall, you have God in your life, you have six beautiful, healthy children. You finally found a man that loves you and SHOWS you EVERYDAY!( if any of you read my earlier post on insecurity and "fear" of unfaithfulness ) Why must you ALWAYS think of the negative, why must you hold yourself back from obtaining ALL of Gods blessings that he has ready for you????"
Fast forward...
I was on my way into town because my neice needed to be picked up from DeTox. She had been there for three days. I took her to run some errands and then took her back to the facility. She just lost custody of her fourth child(who is now just two weeks old). I prayed with her before I left, my heart was heavy. She is due to get out of detox tomorrow..she has no place to go. My sister, her mother will not allow her in her home. She will either stay in detox until she is due to do "impatient recovery" on monday or she will stay with me until monday, never the less, my heart aches for her. She's my neice, I love her no matter what choices she has made in her life, besides, we are called to LOVE!

Fast forward again,
As I logged on this afternoon, I saw the
interview with Steven Curtis Chapman and his family on the "Good morning america" website. What a heartbreaking story that was. I could almost feel his wifes heart breaking. As she relived that tragic accident on May 21st.. As a mother, I cried.

Now, with all of that being said, the song I referred to at the beginning had more significant meaning. We do only have ONE LIFE TO LOVE and what a short life it is. Why do I see the negative side of life when there is soooo much positive. I have children that bring laughter to my soul and heart. I have a WONDERFUL husband that makes me feel protected and loved. I have my health, I have a beautiful home and those little luxuries that one could always hope for. I am blessed and I have NO reason to be unhappy..I do it to myself!! God gives us one life on this earth and we need to make the best out of EVERY MOMENT! Love all that you can love and do for others each chance you can get. When I was with my neice today, all MY stuff disappeared. I CHOSE to BE IN THE MOMENT with her. I CHOSE NOT to "think" about all my problems, I was there for HER.
I now understand what it really means to LOVE...It's NOT about what we get, it's about what WE GIVE! That is TRUE LOVE.

God bless all of you
Robin
"O God, you are my God. Earnestly I seek you;my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is BETTER than life,my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name, I will lift up my hands." Psalms 63

Amen.

Thanks for the positivity. Let's try to stay in that zone, shall we?

God bless us, every one.
