Abusive mother both physically and verbally. Allways being told I would never amount to anything and that I was different. I fought that idea and underneath believing they were wrong. Today I can see that my actions show me something guite different. I want to love me again.

Deep down maybe you already love yourself. You were right not to believe your Mom's lies about you. I'm glad you are in the program and ready to fight the bad thoughts. There are many of us here. Best wishes.

One of the LOUDEST statements I ever heard Lucinda say was "Love yourself unconditionally". Without conditons, without strings, without any pre-conditions. Actually this woke me up to why sometimes I'm unable to love others well. The golden rule "love others as you would love your self". Well I didnt love myself properly, how the heck was I supossed to love others well. :p
