10mg to 20mg of paxil

My doctor has decided to increase my paxil dose from 10mg to 20mg. He told me to take both at once or twice daily. I usually take my regular paxil at 2 so I took it and just took the second one at 8:45. I'm not sure if they should be more spaced a part or not. I'm also nervous about the side effects, and it's making me nervous now. I'm also scared it's going to make me feel so bad that I will have to go back down to 10 but won't be able to do that right away because you need to slowly decrease it. Has anyone else had a paxil increase and give adivce?

my best friend has been on paxil on and off for 10 years now she is on 40mg and shes a stripper so she gets drunk every nite when she goes to work and she does fine and she tells me that shes gonna be on paxil for the rest of her life and shes only 25 yrs old and she never wants to quit medication. she is doing just fine im on lexapro 5mg and i still get mild anxiety symptoms but i take b-complex and helps me out alot noway im gona up it doc said to up it to 10mg but i told him i was doing just fine.

My friend takes Paxil and went form 10mg to 20 mg with no problems. The increase did help him and seems to be the right dose for him now. I would take your docs suggestion and try it. But I would space it out abit more, take one at 2 and then one in the morning maybe??
