My newest symptom this week is my chest. I have been having this burning, piercing pain in my chest for the last couple of days. Sometimes the pain is in the middle of my chest, then sometimes I can feel it on the right side, sometimes left, and sometimes up by my throat where my collar bone is. It is really scaring me.I went to the ER they told me my EKG and blood work was normal and to follow up on Monday with your doctor I did, I had a nuclear stress test done results come back normal.still having pain daily and it scares me...my chest don't hurt when when i'm lying in bed, and when i first wake up but as the day goes on it gets worse daily. Has anyone experienced this..what should i do? sometimes I think i'm going to pass out.How accurate is a nuclear stress test?
Sorry to hear you're feeling so bad. This could be acid reflux/GERD. I have been dealing with similar symptoms and am going to see an ear, nose and throat dr tomorrow about it. Maybe pay attention to what you're eating?try chewing on ginger. That helps lot. I know that heartburn can feel like a heart attack sometimes. I know this from experience. i always feel a tightness in the center of my chest and feel out of breath sometimes and my throat feels like it is closing in sometimes and have issues with my swallowing. . . But this could be some type of acid reflux/heartburn . .
I am so sorry! Chest pain can be so scary, but sounds like your heart is ok, so that is great news. Acid reflux, stomach ulcers, etc can mimic a heart condition. There are also other possibilities, but if they have "cleared your heart", my next guess would be your stomach. Maybe your primary care physician can help you get to the source of your discomfort. Since we are on the same web site, I'm sure your are aware of the anxiety factor, but check with your doctor for physical reasons to be on the safe side. Take care and good luck!
neelsnoles, sorry to hear you're having this pain. I, too, have this pain pretty much on a daily basis. I've had numerous EKGs and chest x-rays done, and they always come back normal. I've never had any other tests done for my heart, simply because doctors have never found it warranted (even though *I* would like more done!). I've been told many, many times that it has to do with acid reflux and things like that. Perhaps try remedies for that and see if it helps!
Holly, please let me know what the ear, nose and throat doctor says. I've thought about going to one of those too because of my symptoms.

I went to the ER Friday b/c I had chest heaviness, hard to breathe, hurt near my breast bone. They did EKG, TONS of blood work and said I had acid reflux. I do not have that burning or yucky taste in my mouth. But I can say talking the prilosec has calmed that breast bone pain and taken away some chest heaviness.
