LMM,

Thanks for the reply. I did the program years ago and worked with a coach as well. Back then I was having derealization and anxiety. I did not know that I was having derealization either did the coach. I thought I was loosing my mind!!!

The anxiety has gotten much better however I am still a bit fearful, hesitant, and not living my life to the fullest! I am a bit agorophobic, even though I will be flying to LA by myself on Thursday...... makes no sense. Certain situations can be difficult especially with dizziness/balance stuff!!! That symptom really brought me to my knees : (

I find that if I carry something heavy or do sit up's, lift weights etc... I feel more off balance! I have to be so careful. I try to eat right, rest, stay hydrated etc... you know, a full time job, ha ha, anxiety symptoms occupy my mind WAY TOO much.

After you finish the program there is a GREAT book, Freedom From Fear written by an MD who had panic for 31 years that you might want to read. It is written by Dr. Howard Leibgold.

How long have you had anxiety?

Coco :)

Coco2 - I am having the same symptoms as you and I am trying to internalize them. I must have something wrong with me instead just accepting that I am anxious. Really sucks! Hang in there you not alone.

Hey Coco,
This is my first post, and I was surprised honestly to see that others were experiencing balance and dizziness problems, too. I noticed a particular pattern...when I first get up and when I stand up after watching a movie theater movie. For about a year or two, much to my repeated surprise until I began to remember to prepare myself, I would stand and then quickly fall to the left without expecting it after watching a movie. I would have to hold onto my husband's arm and just hold onto him as we left the theater. This has faded now as my recovery has improved. Be of good cheer! The other is the early morning balance problems. I actually fell in my shower a month ago and sustained a very large bruise on my calf that remains lumpy. I moved/turned too fast forgetting I can be unpredictably clumsy now in the mornings. I have also noticed I cannot put necklaces on as I used to, just cannot figure out how to connect both ends. It makes me feel stupid and foolish and very old. I am only 44! But, I have learned to be patient with myself and ... in the words of a wise counselor, remember how I would treat/talk to my own best friend in such moments...and it makes all the difference. I have learned to be as kind to myself sometimes as I tend to be to others...a hard thing to practice on a regular basis, but I keep growing.
Peace to you and your loved ones.

Coco, 1. if you write a lengthy post you need to save it to a mic. word doc. to your computor. This used to happen to me in the past also. 2. yes this vertigo could be from anything. Although I NEVER under estimate stress anymore and the effect it has on the ENTIRE body (both physical and mental). Anxiety, mostly caused by stress can be responsible for ANYTHING. This is why millions of people think that they are having a heart attack, stroke, or that they will drop dead any minute and thousands of other things. tc and God Bless

COCO, thanks
i am definately going to buy that book, since i have been on this forum, i have heard of him. I am interested how you did and what you thought of the coaching program. i had done the whole pprogram in 2005 by myself, and i made some progress. but i decided recently to do it again with a coach bc i can not seem to get a handle on my hypochondriasis - that is my sticking point. Did the coach help you a lot?
