I started taking medication for my anxiety/panic attacks a little over a week ago. I have just upped my dose from 37.5 mg to 75, and now every night I wake up in a state of panic and I feel really nauseated. This has happened the past 3 nights in a row and im getting a little tired of it. I think its just my body still getting used to the medication, but how long will that take? For those who are on medication how long was it before the side affects went away?

It sounds like the medication. You increased it by alot. Perhaps you can talk to your dr. about cutting back to more like 50 mg. Dr.s often treat all people the same and some dont adjust to larger doses as easily.

I am taking Effexor XR, so far its been ok like during the day and whatnot. I havent really felt as motivated as I would like to feel, but I know medication takes a while to fully get working. Its just at night where I feel sick, and id rather sleep then spending an hour trying to calm myself down.
