your 1st attack

do you remember where you were when you had your first real panic attack I was at work on a sunday morning I felt weird a week before very nervous and strange but I just tried to ignore it than that sunday I went to work and all of a sudden at 10 30 well you know the rest I went to the er and of course everything came back fine teh weird thing is when I was in the er I felt fine once I left the hospital I had anxiety at the highest form.

Yes! I was actually in the shower. I was getting ready to drive to a friend's house (about 40-45 mins away) and was uncomfortable about it. I didn't want to go, but didn't think it was panic, just me not wanting to go out. All of a sudden my whole body got cold and my hands and toes felt tingly.... I started gasping for breath and I bent over to try to steady myself (I felt like I couldn't breath and was hysterical crying because I was so scared) and as the water from the shower hit the back of my head I felt like I was drowning... it was terrible. I finally just got out of the shower and remember going into my room and just sitting on the floor to try to recompose myself. I was exhasuted and had no idea what had just happened to me. My husband got so freaked out that he called my friend and canceled for me. It was really scary.
