does anyone wake uo every morning with panic? I wake up sweating with a headache, heart beating out of my chest and hyperventilating. Its take s couple of hours for me to calm down. And then when I try to go back to sleep it feels like my breathing and my heart stops and it jolts me awake.

Yes, been there this morning.. Cant work good like this, lose alot of time sleeping and can't get into the swing of things.. Ya, the heart feels like, HELL...
I understand, can't control the sleep thing yet, the stress just stays with me, even in the
sleep.. I know how you feel...............

Robin,

I have the exact same thing!!! It is so frustrating. I try to wake up extra early so that I can be somewhat calmed down by the time I have to go to work or do something.

Gosh good to read these...That is my biggest problem...I wake up gasping my heart sometimes takes 2 hours to slow (140 bpm and I am 41 years old) and I usually have to take a benzo to calm down...I do have the jolting as well...I know thats from fear of sleep...I am twice is bad if iam by myself or not at home...ie hotel, vacation...If I could get pass this I can deal with the awake stuff...I have been better lately though i have put a small fan in front of my nightstand and if I wake up with it I just turn the fan on directly in my face and DO NOT get out of bed just slow your breathing let the fan take over and I am ok within 2 minutes or less...If I jump up or get out of bed quickly it takes a lot longer...I think this is related to minor deppression/chemical imbalance as well...I usually dont have these with my anxiety unless I get a little depressed...I just have the anxiety during the awake hours

My anxiety was horrible when i woke up it would take a couple hours to get to a functioning state, and then there was another pang in the evening. I am a stay-at-home mom and would anticipate the anxiety coming "i'll be anxious when i wake up!" and i would cause the adrenaline to release and so i would panic. I was MAKING the anxiety come and it would, like clock-work. I was scarred of being here alone with my young son, for the long hours of the day while everyone else is at work because i might panic all day. I had to take xanax and muscle relaxers just to get through. I just began session 3 today. And 3 weeks ago I began taking Celexa to help my brain chemistry while I learn to change it. I'm seeing that I was creating the problem. I'm beginning to turn my thoughts around. Now I wake up and think the day is beautiful how am i going to spend it with my son during his tender young years!

Hi ,

i read the last few entries and i feel like i have altered my brain chemisty that i am getting head sensations like a sinking/rising/slow row boat on a lake. i am told it is adrenaline buildup. also my back and neck muscles are so tight that when i bend down i can feel them pulling on me which makes me feel off balance, but it all seems to be in the back half of my body. i also sometimes feel like my limbs are floating and not really attached to my body. What are these medications for brain chemisty? does anyone relate to what i am saying?
