Hi ALL

I went for a Physical a few weeks ago and I hadn't
heard anything back until I got a letter in the mail about 7 days later.
Everything turned out OK YAY!! Except my Dr said in the letter that I have low iron levels & she
Recommended taking a supplement with iron in it.
Which I already take Centrum so I called the office back & she said to take an iron supplement along with my daily vitamin.
Also, I wasn't eating a lot of meat or beans so perhaps that is why too. I was kind of trying to lose weight with a lot of low fat foods.
It seemed like she wasn't so concerned nor does she really want to see me again but the nurse said I could go back in a few months to have the levels checked again. I have started to eat more iron rich foods and added more red meat and beans to my diet now , & I wonder if this was also causing a lot of my anxiety symptoms too?
Anyone else have this issue?

Hi Emma

Thanks for the advice. I will eat more meat but
it's so hard when you are trying to watch your
weight perhaps the low fat diet caused it. I will add more meat & maybe this will help with my weight loss too? Maybe I was eating too little
calories and perhaps I need to just add more meat,
beans, and protein and take the iron pills for now.

I think you are right, low iron can cause a lot of anxiety like symptoms & they seems to be getting
better now that I am adding more iron. Now only if I can STOP worrying. :roll:
