Today I could really use a word of encouragement from people who know what I'm going through. I'm going to make it, but a little help would be great (smile). I don't like asking for help. I feel I should be stronger. But we all know we have our moments. I promise to return the favor to you if ever neeeded (big smile!!) Thanks in advance.

You have always been there to encourage me. Thank you.

Well, I'll tell you what I keep telling myself today - you can do it. It's gonna get better - it's gonna get easier. I have to keep reminding myself that I didn't get this way overnight so I can't expect it to get better overnight either. I am just trying to have a few more good moments today than I had yesterday and eventually things will get easier.

Well, I'm really struggling myself today so I doubt that was much help but just know that you aren't alone. :-)

Hi; I'm Rea(nickname for Jeanine Marie) and I "JUST" registered and I want to tell you that is something I would write. I don't like asking for help either (always doing everything for everyone else except myself) and I can't stand asking for help because I was always the "strong" one. I always tell myself "Someone has it worse than me" and SOMETIMES it helps. I have Crohn's and IBS topped w/ depression, anxiety, and I was just released because of my Crohn's and deydration. Can't even go anywhere because of my Crohn's. I hope talking about my problems helped you!

bevhembree,
hang in there everything is going to be ok. I know how you are feeling because I have felt that way at times too. Just take a little time out for yourself and relax, you might even try doing the relaxation cd, this is what helps me when I am down. Hang in there and remember we are all here for you if you need anyone.

Hi bevhembree!
I'm sorry you're having a bad day. I have quite a few myself. Like Candiandricky said, Hang in there. Treat yourself to a day of relaxation and tell yourself that tomorrow is a new day and you will feel better. Remember...You are loved and cared about by quite a few people, I'm sure! Take care of yourself like you would anyone else.

Hello bevhembree,
There's nothing wrong with asking for help and encouragement. We all need it at times. Sometimes a word of encouragement can make you feel stronger...so here I go. You can do whatever you set your mind to. You are strong and capable of dealing with whatever comes your way. Stay focused on the present moment and just go with it. Keep reminding yourself that this is a condition that takes a while to get over...but can be gotten over. I believe you can do it because I beleive I can too. I hope this helps you feel better.

Hey there, Bev!
Remember that nothing stays the same for long!
When we feel bad we tend to think that those bad feelings will go on forever. Not so.
Our moods change, the world changes, the weather changes. And we, ourselves change!

Hang in there! Sometimes when I'm just overwhelmed with what is going on with me, I will just take a "time out". I will get a book
and began to read something light. I just lose myself in a story or article. When I begin to relax, I will realize that life (whatever I've been upset with) is not so ominous.
Another thing I point out to myself is that I don't have to take on the whole day all at once.
I can take it a little at a time. I can set my timer and work at a little chore for just 15
minutes. Just concentrate on only what is before me for 15 minutes.
Feel the floor beneath my feet, or feel the breeze upon my cheek.
Be conscious of what is around me in the here and now.
That gives the mind a rest from all the fear it is building up.

Hope you are feeling better real soon.

Bev,

Proverbs 23:18 "There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off."

Hang in there, sweetie. You are always so encouraging to others...thank you for that! You can get through this. Look how great you're doing even now - asking for help! Being properly assertive! YOU GO GIRL! :)

Saying an extra prayer for peace, guidance, and strength for you,
Dawn

The one thing about anxiety is that it always passes. All emotions are in time, which means they do not last forever. The key is that when it passes, you must let it go. Don't focus on when it may return. Or wonder if it will return again. If you can't figure out its cause in a very short time, don't try to figure out why it happened. Just let it go so that you can have peaceful moments as well. Things will get better.

Thank you all. I did make it through yesterday without crying at all. I woke an hour early today and feel like there is that much more time to pass today- lol. I re-read your posts though and am practicing my breathing so we'll see. Thanks again. You all are great!
