Hello Everyone. Just wondering if anyone watched Diane Sawyer's interview on the story about the man with terminal pancreatic cancer. It was so inspiring just to see how positive this man was with knowing what he has been dealt. I was so touched and there is a book out called The Last Lecture, I will defineately be looking for it. I feel so guilty being so negative after listening to him and I have to end this woe is me. Please anyone let me know what is working for you. I am on lesson 6 now and often go back to this neg. thinking and talking about other family members and gossiping which I get caught up in and it is so wrong. Even though certain ones have done me wrong it is wrong for me to be talking neg. about them. I am trying so hard but get caught up in this negativity and then feel so awful. Thanks for listening. The special on last night was such a learning lesson because this man is enjoying every min. now that he has left with his family and seems so upbeat. That is how it is suppose to be. POSITIVE!! I can't wait to be there and know others think of me in that way instead of an EYEORE be a Tigger.

Ali,

I think he would say, "Don't waste your time on guilt-just go from here." :)

I watched also. What an inspiration this man is. I caught myself mentally saying, "Why does he have to die - he has so much to offer the world?" Then I thought-if he were not dying most of us would never have heard of him.

I saw his lecture on UTube (I Think) it is beautiful in its' entirety and I hope each and every one of us makes it a point to watch it.

I cried for him- and his family-but I know he has touched many lives and perhaps that was his purpose...God bless us all with the grace-Carolyn

Hi Ali. I did not see 20/20last night but did watch Oprah which was really inspiring and positive! Her topic was the book "A New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle. I just started reading and it is great. I highly recommend it for everyone. You can go to Oprah.com to read about it. She has a class about the book every Monday night on her website. She had people from all over the world who have read it and it totally changed their lives for the better. Let me know what you think...

Yes I watched it. So inspiring! It gives me a lot of hope that if this man can live in the present moment so can I. Don't get discouraged. I didn't feel like it was falling into place until session 10. I catch myself a lot reverting back to the negative thoughts. It's getting easier though now to at least see when I'm doing it and also when I'm backsliding. I plan on going thru the program twice. Maybe even three times. I don't feel as stressed now thinking that I have to be entirely free of negativity by the end of the program. I'll just keep doing it as long as I have to.
