Valium anyone?
I think Valium works better for anxiety than Xanax in my opinion. The difference I saw when I took it years ago was that I could still feel the effects of it the next day and with Xanax I didn't. For me the Xanax made me sleepy but didn't last, and the valium cut the anxiety. Don't know why the first choice by Drs is now Xanax. For anxiety I think Valium is better.

I was on it forever, 27 years. Off ot all anti-anxiety meds now and have been for 4.5 years. Still on a low dose of anti-depressant drugs. The program worked for me, plus exercise. Valium worked well for me but Xanax didn't work at all. Everybody is different. Buspar is a non-addictive drug which can work for some. I was on it also for a while and it did help some.

I like this post ashlynn.......Funny my doctor prescribed me xanax for am and valiums for pm...lol....The valiums did great in relaxing the muscular portion of the anxiety but it did nothing for me as for as the emotional/panic/ division......I personally can tolerate the physical sensations rather than the psyological and emotional reactions. So Xanax works great for me and doesn't make me sleepy just relaxes me all the way around.....As my Doctor clearly stated to me Valiums work great for some and Xanax works great for others. It really depends on the person and there tolerance and necessity levels. So I only take the Xanax as needed some days some...and other days NONE....Thanks to God and this program I am on my way to Zero Meds.
Blessings to all
