Well everyone, mine Endoscopy is over with! Thanks for the support. It went fine. They give you a great sedative. I don't remember a thing.

They did find inflammation in my Esphogas, so I'll keep taking my Prevacid, but no signs of polyps or cancer. (I did not even expect cancer - but that was the rpt).

They say they always do a biopsies and I have to call in a week for that.

Woo Hoo! It's over! I've had three of them done and I never remembered a thing after they gave me the Versed and Demerol. Bet you're glad it's over with.

What did you have the endoscopy for? I've had terrible early morning nausea and vomithing for 2 years..I had an endoscopy which only showed some minor reflux..

Well, I have had some sort of chest pain since 2004. I have had all the cardiac work ups, ECHO, Stress Test, blood work, etc.

So, this year at my annual physical my doctor suggested an Upper GI series and Chest X-Ray. I had to drink the barrium for the GI (yuck!).

At that time they said I had Mid-Thoracic Reflux and that I had an abnormal filling defect (could not rule out small polyp) and suggested further study.

So, off to Endo land where they could not find the abnormal filling defect. My doctor said on that day I probably just had food stuck (probably popcorn - my worst addiction).

I have had an orthopedic tell me I have Costochondritis, so I am not sure if the PCP does not agree and keeps sending me for tests or what, but, I guess it is good that it was done.

Engine 2,

Congrats on taking the endo and getting the great news!!!!!!!!!! :)

I took an upper endo this past Tuesday and thankfully--like you--it was normal.

I also suffer with Costochondritis. Here are some links on it.

Congratulations on having the Endoscopy done, I was supposed to have one done, but I was too anxious so I had a barium x-Ray instead, everyting looked normal. Hopefully I will be relaxed enough to have a Endoscopy done one day. Congrats!

Sugarmama,

I was definitely anxious, but I knew it was best to have it done due to the reflux. To be honest with you, the meds they gave me a few minutes before the procedure were great. I don't remember anything.

I'd rather have another ENDO before drinking that Barium again. I was so nauseous after that.
