Thanks Dawn, it's just the obsessing over it. I never was a water lover and now it seems to be coming out.

Drussel - Wonderful advice here.

I'd like to add that when we are initially afraid to do the thing we fear it helps to write it out for a good 30 to 45 minutes a day. Write your fears out on paper. Do not try to make it better. Don't try to fix the problem. Don't soothe during this time. Write out your worst case scenerio - even if you repeat the same sentence over and over for 45 minutes. While you are doing this feel your discomfort by using your tools. Calm breath work. After your 45 minutes if you are still upset with what you wrote then use thought stoppage (you are done worrying for the day now), calm breath work and attention shifting.

Another version of this is to read everyday for 45 minutes what you initially wrote.

You'll soon desentize and be enjoying your daily shower.

It worked, I was nervous but it worked. I'm a little edgey...

I have been following this thread with a great deal of interest, relating it to a big fear of my own.
I hope I don't sound too dumb, but which one of the great suggestions worked for you, drussel? I am in suspense.
GOOD FOR YOU!
