Strange tongue feeling

Has anyone experienced a strange tingly type feeling on their tongue when they get anxious. This seems to be a new symptom I have been having...Any thoughts are great...thx in advance

i get this, yes. i think it may be related to the fact i clench my bottom jaw a lot.. do u think u may do this too?

I get this as well. It isn't my entire tongue (mostly) just one spot in the back. Allergies and sinus issues can also cause this...as well as anxiety. I think Lau might be on to something...it might be TMJ related. I'd have to ask my ENT on that one though. I had it bad for a while and kept having to touch my tongue to convince myself it wasn't actually numb...it eased my anxiety for the moment.

That could be it lau...but i'm not sure. It doesn't just happen when i'm feeling good but more when i'm anxious. Just a bizarre feeling.

I've had this before. I have even had it feel like my tongue was going to sleep. I remember once about 10 years ago my best friend and I were out and we had to sit in the car for a while so I could decide if I needed to go to the ER or not. I'm sure you are normal.
