I currently have been raised to 200 mg of Zoloft. It does take several weeks to feel a difference. I have had no side effects and have been taking it for 5 years. The dosage has been increased over the years. The best time to take it is in the morning. I did take it at night and I was having trouble sleeping. Now it is better taking it in the morning.

It's important to understand that adding a medication that alters the amount of neurotransmitters in the brain will cause a chemical imbalance and will take four weeks, give or take, depending on the person, for your neuronal networks to return to homeostatis, and for your new drug to reach a therapeutic level.

So stick it out for at least four weeks, maybe a little bit longer. Just keep letting your doctor know when the side effects are bothering you, and you'll be fine. (p.s. I'm glad Zoloft is working so well for so many of you!!!)
