I suffered from panic attacks and anxiety about two years ago. I finally went on effexor xr and became my old self again. This past October, I decided to go off the medicine. I was doing fine until about the last three weeks. Now I just feel anxious a lot again. I went to the doctor and he put me on cymbalta. Any success with that? The program is working too, but I just thought I needed some more help.

nothing wrong with trying to help your serotonin alli..and congrats on doing the program. it all helps, us to be able to do the work needed to turn this stuff around. keep up the good work alli, and soon there will be more progressing to better thinking and good habits to maintain your body and moods like exercise and proper nutrition and diet ...it all takes energy of mind, and if you get some serotonin help from doctor why not=it helps to even out the "playing field" so we CAN focus on keeping up all our efforts trying to retrain our thinking and body habits and care to support ourselves towards more positive living . best wishes to you alli

I agree with h.beth. If you need meds to get back on track then so be it. It sounds like you are in the same situation as I am. I had gone off meds and was doing great only to have the anxiety back. I've gone back on and it's getting better now. And just remember, there are good days and not so good days. Try and stay positive.
