Hi lilsismj. I had a period that lasted for 2 weeks and now I haven't had a period in a month and a half. I had to have an ultrasound last week. This Friday I am having a D & C. I am nervous about it, but I hoping that this will help my bleeding problem. My hormones are all out of whack. I am 43 and in the midst of perimenopause...although my doctor won't admit that. I know my body. Anyway, please try and keep your chin up. I know it is hard to do, but you must. I woke up yesterday and today and didn't want to get out of bed. I am stressing about Friday, but I amtrying very hard to think positive. It doesn't always work, but I know God will take care of me. He will take care of you too.

Hi to everyone whose posted regarding this subject. I'm another one who has this on-going problem. I've been assured it is NORMAL. It's age related, there are options, D&C, hormone therapy, etc. When you're dealing with anxiety, stress, depression, the last thing you need is a six month long period - but alas, knowing it is normal makes it bearable. Like everything else we should STOP, IDENTIFY, COPE AND RELAXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.

Hi, I just wanted to say that I know what you are going through, it happened to me too. About 5 years ago, I was 23, and I decided to get off of birth control. I had been taking ortho tri cyclen for 7 years, and I just felt like it was time to get it out of my system. I started my very first panics attacks around that time too, what fun.
Anyway, I waited for my first period, and it did not come until 4 months after I stopped birth control. And then...I had a heavy period for over 4 weeks strait! I was terrified, not mention having terrible anxiety. But, I made it through, just like we all do, with God's grace. I finally got kind of regular over the past few years, but I learned NOT to WORRY. My body took care of itself. Now I'm pregnant and completely excited about it, even though my anxiety has crept up on me lately. But I'll get through that too, one day at a time. I believe you will be just fine too. Sometimes things just happen, we get over them, and move on. I will most certanily pray for you, because I know how you feel, thinking the worst thoughts about your health, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. God Bless You, everything will be fine.

Tammy, Laura, Missi, Misti and all...Thanks.
I am getting ready to turn 30 and hope I am not entering perimenopause. But, who knows at this point.
Tammy, you and your chicken suit will be joined by a couple of others, as a few friends have made me laugh about it too.
Missi, I know you're nervous, but some of the ladies mentioned the D&C thing to me yesterday and many on the boards have had them. I haven't, but might be joining the ranks soon. I will be praying for you and sending you warm thoughts.
Misti, congratulations on your pregnancy!
Thank you all. In for 2 out for 4! Geeze, people shouldn't have to deal with this much PMS : )
It's a wonder I haven't punched someone in the schnoz and then cried horribly about it.
My therapist told me to just take my xanax and try to stay calm until we know more.
