WHAT IS LIVE JOURNAL?

I've heard several people mentioning using the Live Journal on this site, but I can't seem to find anything pertaining to that.

What is it? Where do I find it?

You know, I've heard this mentioned off and on as well but I don't know what it is either. I would think it is similar to a myspace or facebook? That's just a guess though.
