Oh Ladies,

Something is wrong with my thyroid, as I posted earlier. I've had an ultrasound done and I have a goiter. They are running blood tests to see what is going on with my body...but until then.

I am on the 26th day of a continuous period, that's right...I said 26 days. I think that up until a few days ago, I'd taken it very well. But now, I cried all day yesterday. This morning was the first morning I woke up in two years and thought, I can't/don't want to get up. No more.

I am trying to keep my chin up, but I am sooooo feeling bad.

Advice?

Hi lilsismj,

Sorry to hear about your situation. Pray for healing, pray for strenght to get through this difficult time. You have the choice every morning as the whether you want to be in self-pity, or you want to be powerful. You can't be both. Make the choice to be powerful! You can overcome this!

My prayers are with you.

I just heard from my doctor and there isn't anything wrong with my thyroid function as far as the blood tests say, regardless of the goiter. So, now I am having an ultrasound of my abdomen to see what is causing the problem.

Has anyone ever been through this?

Both my mother and my sister had this happen. They are both fine. :) It's not all that uncommon and as long as you're seeing a doc and they're looking into it, it's not all that serious. They'll soon know what to do to fix you up. Is it a very heavy flow? If so, try to stay off your feet and rest. 26 days of that is enough to knock down the strongest person so I understand your feelings. {{HUGS}}

I once had this problem after using the Depo birth control, but mine wenr on for about three months. I know how you feel and how weak you are but you can be healed right now in Jesus' name.

Dear Lord, please show the doctors what is wrong with her, Lord Jesus please lay your hand on her stomache and heal her from this problem just as you did the woman that touched your clothes in the crowd and healed her from the 12 years of bleeding that she had had, Lord Jesus I know that you are the same today and yesterday, today and tomorrow, and I know that you are a just God, please heal her from this problem and make her whole again. Lord Jesus please give her comfort in her time of need and patience through each walk of her life. Lord Jesus I pray this in your mighty name. Amen

Mark 5:25-34
Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, "If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well."

Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried ip, and she felt her body that she was healed of the affliction. And Jesus, immedialty knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him turned around in the crowd and said, "Who touched My clothes?"
But His disciples said to Him,"You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, "Who touched My clothes?"
And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. And He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction."

Now if Jesus did it for her he can do it for you to. Just have faith and you will be healed through Christ Jesus!

I'm not sure how old you are but my mom had this issue when she was perimenopausal. She'd bleed for weeks then go weeks w/o a period and it would cycle like that. I have a friend who went through something similar although she's much younger than my mom and it was a bad infection...they put her on the pill and antibiotics and that helped her.

I hope they find out what it is soon so you can feel better!

I am on month 4 of constant spotting. I haven't had anything you would call a normal period since October. It will stop for 2 or 3 days then start right back again. I had a uterine biopsy (ouch!) and an ultrasound to rule out a fibroid cyst or cancer. All is well, it is just because I am 45 and perimenopausal and my body is going a little haywire. Sure is irritating but otherwise means nothing. See a doctor to rule out anything just to be sure.

I have another ultrasound tomorrow. I don't know what else to say. I can't think...or it's goes scary.

I appreciate the prayers much more than any of you could ever know. I just want this to be over with. I don't know what to do with myself.

I can imagine all you guys behind me, though...and that makes a huge difference.

Well I can do to you what I do to my other friends when they are having to go through a procedure and are scared (although you've been through it before). I always tell them to picture me in the corner wearing a chicken suit rooting them on :) It usually makes them giggle when they remember while at the dr. and that makes the fear and anxiety go down some. Sooo...I have that chicken suit ready and waiting for you! ;)
