dizzy
I have been dizzy lately. I did have a cold last week, with sinus and ear aches - so it could be from the cold. OR I have also been trying to recover from the anxiety of my heart health. I went to the doctor and I think he has convinced me that my heart is fine. Could it possibly be me replacing my worry with dizziness? Does that make sense. I just don't want to run to the doctor for every little ailment - but I truly feel dizzy. Can anyone relate....
Hi Ellkay.
I call this "residual anxiety". I call it that because I have noticed that after i've had major anxiety, that's when the major symptoms seem to occur. Even if i've gone through the main problem almost stress-free, I tend to get some anxiety symptoms from somewhere. It's like i'm releasing anxiety I never knew I had.

Ellkay,
I had the dizzy/off balance thing for awhile. Once day I felt like I was going to faint and then for 3 months after that I had this continual feeling of either a faint dizziness or like I was walking on a boat or something.
I don't know if it had anything to do with switching meds or not, but when my doc switched me from xanax to valium it went away.
I had had every test done besides an MRI. I went to an ENT and did all the ear tests. Now I do notice that when I get more anxious the feeling comes back just slightly, but this program is helping me to put an end to it.
Good luck!

Hi Ellkay. I was lightheaded for many years until day I was listening to lucinda on one of the tapes, she said that you have to stop being afraid for the symptoms to go away. Once I finally decided that I wasn't going to be afraid anymore, only then did the symptoms start to go away. This works for other body symptoms too. Anxiety "feeds" on fear. It need fear to survive. The more you fear the symptoms, the worse they get, and when you stop fearing, they start to go away.
Hefinetly relate to the symptoms.I fuffer from chronic sinus and migraines. I went to the hospital yesterday. The pain was sostrong and the presure w/dizzyness was all day....they gave me shots for the pain and nausea. All the lab work was negative.. Today I woke up still w/some pain.. They told me I needed to follow w neurologist, so of course immediately I started to worry, will they find something wrong with me. I have not even made the appt yet.
