Just a quick question
I bought this program back in 1996 in tape form. The program worked well. Within the last couple years, my anxiety and panic has snuck back into my life. I was thinking about ordering a new program with the cd's. my question is are both programs (1996 and now) the exact same program or is there new and updated material in the new program. Basically will I be waisting money getting the new set or should I just use my old tapes. I would think that 12 years is a big gap and that the new tapes (or cd's) would be better. thanks
Hi. I have that old kit too and I still love it. I think they do minor updates but there's something that puzzles me about the new kit- I keep hearing people talk about how difficult it is following Lucinda through the waterfall. Mine doesn't have a waterfall in it and that seems to be such a big problem with people on this site. I also thought about it until I started hearing about the "confusions" that people are having with the new one.
I too, would like to know the differences with the programs.
DeeDee.

Don't waste your money. It's the same thing. Nothing has changed in 20 years. I have the original tape program from the 80's. I ordered what I thought would be the new program recently, and promptly sent it back when I found out it was the very same thing, except different people are talking on it. But the content is the same. Nothing new has been added. So go ahead and use the old one you have and save your money.

The extra stuff is just bells and whistles.
Deedee, a relaxation tape is a relaxation tape... whether it's of a waterfall, or of the ocean, or a walk in the meadow, or anything. That does not justify buying the program all over again.
If anyone WANTS to spend the money again and buy the "new" program, go ahead by all means. But why? When the meat and potatoes part of the program is the same now as it was 20 years ago.
But to each his own. For me, it wasn't worth spending hundreds of dollars on top of the hundreds I spent on the original one. For another person, for whatever reason, maybe becasuse they want the CDs instead of the tapes, it may be worth it.

No, I'm not mad at all. I'm just answering the question. The program is a good program, but the content has not changed in the 20+ years since it first came out. So if someone has a copy of the older version, why should they spend the money again on the same thing?
And if the person asked if she should buy the new program when she already has the old program on tapes, obviously she has a tape player, right?
