Hi,
I wasn't diagnosed but I know I have had it almost all my life. I have a hard time talking because I can't think of anything to say. It used to be that people would ask, "why are you so quiet?" which made me feel like I stand out like a sore thumb.
Then I'm embarrassed because no one talks to me and I think i have something wrong with me that no one else has because everyone else is talking to other people.
I'm on medication that helps right now but I need to go off because it make me so fuzzy.
This program has helped.

The same thing happens to me. I feel so nervous in new situations that I don't talk until I feel comfortable. Anyways I feel like I stick out like a sore thumb. My voices gets really high and it gets shaky and then I start thinking of it and it makes it worse. Oh I just want to overcome this with so many other issues. I don't want to go on meds if I can fix it just by the program etc. Let me know of anything that helps. Thanks

hey guys,
I never really realized the social anxiety disorder that I had until I had a therapist finally clarify exactly what it was. Until I truly get to know someone and feel comfortable that they won't hate me for what I say, then I finally will be openly social with them. Other than that, I can be very quiet sometimes, and like other people have stated in their posts, sometimes I feel like I have to think of things to say or I have nothing to say at all. Is there anyone that can offer advice to get better and get through this disorder?
