I help run a chatroom and mailing list for people with bipolar disorder. Can anyone
who is bipolar and who has used the program please let me know how useful it was?

Dear WillB,

Have you wandered through any of the other posts here? Keep in mind we are caterpillars going through a metamorphasis(sp) Some of us don't have our wings yet. By this I mean we are still impressionable. When we see things like, bipolar-manic depressive, we head for the hills. Have you thought about posting this question to StressCenter to find out if they have any input on this. Or perhaps you can try the chat line and speak to a rep of StressCenter.com to ask specific ?'s.

Good Luck!

Have you looked at the Omega3 studies for bi-polar?

Go to Netscape.com and run a search for Omega 3 Fatty Acids Psychiatry and you will see several studies.

I am taking since I know it can't hurt and hope it will help.

GOOD LUCK!

WillB,

I appreciate your inquiry. I was diagnosed with depression at age 17, and diagnosed bipolar, (phase II) at age 22. I am now 23 and have been told that I have a depressive disorder and severe anxiety. But ultimately, I have spent my life very confused as to what my actual diagnosis is.

This is my fourth week working on the program. I have noticed a decrease in my anxiety and depression. The program doesn't discourage using medication for depression, manic depression, schizophrenia, etc. I think it could definately be beneficial for those struggling with manic depression.

I know of a few people who were misdiagnosed. They were told they were bipolar when in actuality, they were suffering from anxiety disorder. This concerns me and makes me realize that people diagnosed with manic depression could very well benefit from this program.

I would suggest you purchasing the program,( there is a 30 day money back gaurantee,) and reviewing the material yourself. I'm sure you'll find much of the information very beneficial. Good luck!

I am bipolar as well, maybe a bit more use to it now, however I have anxiety-

One thing at a time -

First, I need to be able to get in the car to go to a mental health center..

I am going for my intake appointment with my workbook ... in count down ...12.5 hrs .....

I am up to lesson 6 now ---
kind of going at my own pace!

That is why I really Do like the program,
I can do it at 3 or 4 AM as my sleep is hard to come by and I have more free-time real late at night...

Wishing you lots of luck!
Send me a link to your chatroom WillB ...

I struggle with bipolar too at times. It feels as if I'm the only one in the whole world with this. It would be helpful to speak with others who could relate to me better because of it. A chatroom/mailing list would be helpful to me.
