Menopause

Not really dealing with mood swings, just the "Summer Moments" or hot flashes.
Hugs to you. I had a complete hysterectomy over a year ago and thank God for this program. Don't think I'd be dealing with the menopause so well if it wasn't for the coping skills from the program and my more positive thinking patterns. Our thoughts really do affect how we feel and react when it comes to our physical and emotional health.
It really helps to stay on an even emotional level when we constantly reinforce our positive self talk and other coping skills.
Try to remember also to eat 3 meals a day plus healthy snacks or 5-6 small meals a day. Keep your sugar level steady and it will help. Get some exercise every day, even if it's 15 minutes or so, a couple of times a day. Make it a regular part of your life style.
Most importantly, take it easy on yourself and "float with the changes" just like Lucinda tells us to float through the panic attacks. That technique for panic attacks works really well with the hormonal shifts. try it.

I wish I had had this program 4 years ago when I had my hysterectomy. Surgical menopause puts your whole body, mind and spirit in an uproar. I was moody, gaining weight, and confused about many things I was experiencing. I was given the Climara patch and that helped with hot flashes and some other nuisance symptoms.
