Every feeling that was posted I have felt. Doesn't it help to know that so many people are in this with us? You really are not alone.

I haven't heard anyone say they feel like crying for no reason or get real anxious or panicky and break down and cry. It happened today. More problems with this house. I broke away from my husband and carpenter friend to break down and cry. Then I heard Lucinda say, "You can worry or problem solve, if you can do something about it, do it, if you can't forget it." What we discovered now is a state code violation. Our friend who does this for a living is calling them in the morning. ok I didn't need to ramble, sorry.

The other thing that landed me in the hospital was when I was freaking out at a stop light and went to my husband's work. I became very indecisive and in my panic got out of the car, back in, out, in till someone knew something was really wrong. My husband took me straight to the Dr.in the back way. I was so embarrassed and so scared. Thank God for this program, I will never have to go thru that again. I'm so glad I can catch it before it goes too far.

The SCARIEST symptom to me is the hyperventilating. I will get so out of breath that I feel I cant even talk. then that in turn makes me really shaky. I am so afraid I am going to get so out of breath that I will die.

My symptoms have been tightening of the throat and mild pressure/tightness in my chest -- like maybe it was going to be hard to breath -- yet I was still able to get a full deep breath and I had no pain of any kind...realy wierd and scary. Also have had dizziness (which may or may not be related to a problem with fluid in my middle ear and/or my sinuses). A few times I've experienced mild heart palpitations and fluttering. Always there is a sense of overall uneasiness -- as though something is terribly wrong and that I must be getting ready to have a stroke or heart attack. These sensations have come on usually in the early morning hours (1-5 am) if I happen to wake from my sleep. Often, I've had to wake up my husband to talk me out of the panic and calm me down. Sometimes it helped just to get out of bed and walk around a bit, breathing deeply. Sometimes I even used a mantra like "you're fine, it's ok, you're safe, you're not dying.." I just received Lucinda's program 2 days ago in the mail and plan to begin the sessions tomorrow (Feb 1), but already I've been HUGELY helped just by reading the intro materials. Knowing that I'm not alone in experiencing these symptoms has been so relieving to me -- and it seems that just the relief in knowing I'm not alone has helped to calm me considerably. I'm really looking forward to beginning the program tomorrow.

i get all of the same symptoms, i was doing pretty good following the program, then it hits again, im on sessions 4 now. my symptoms now are still the shakey, of uneasiness, worrying, fear of dying, or stroke or heart attack, but now i wake up anxious, and now im having bad IBS. im always gassy, and if i eat i get real bad chest pains. pepcid ac actually helps. so when i lay down, my throat feels like it tightens or swells up. and i feel like i cant swallow, or breathe which causes the anxiety to rush into a panic, what do i do, does anyone else out there feel the same thing?
"O God, you are my God. Earnestly I seek you;my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is BETTER than life,my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name, I will lift up my hands." Psalms 63

My biggest fear is dying and primarily from a heart attack. I started to feel a burning/pain in my chest on top of my heart. I started to worry about it and of course that was the only think I could think about. Then the next day I was reading a magazine and there was a question - if a woman gets heart burn or a burning sensation does that mean it could be heart disease. the answer from the medical professional was: Yes, if you feel a burning sensation, heart palpatations and impending doom you should be checked for heart disease. So if you can just imagine what that did to me. So then I started to wonder if the test (5-7 ekgs, echocardiogram and a visit to a cardiologist) was enough to determine if I have a heart problem.

Can anyone relate to this????

I pretty much agree with everyone else's symptons. Racing heartbeat, uncontrollable shaking, nauseousness, irregular breathing and feeling like my chest is compressed. The other sympton I get only seems to happen when I'm driving or in a vehicle. It's the weirdest thing too. I don't have acid reflux but my Doc put me on acid reducers as I was having stomach issues. So, now I get this feeling like there is bile stuck in the back and bottom of my throat and no matter how much I swallow, it makes it worse. Which then brings on the nausea and preceding panic attack. It actually happened today while I was on my way to work. Had to pull over for 1/2 hour until I could finally get an Alprozolam down (w/o fear of throwing it up). Worse part is, I let the panic win today. After 35 minutes of sitting on the side of the road, I finally calmed down enough and hightailed it back home.

I do the same thing. I start to freak out when I go to the doctor and the nurse starts taking my blood pressure! What is funny to me and I hope you dont take this the wrong way. When the what if thoughts start is when I get anxiety.
Do you find yourself questioning what you feel?

I have the same anxiety on health related issues, Angela. Remind yourself of the breathing exercise to calm yourself. Don't be too harsh on yourself...the feeling will pass.
