Praying for GOD to come into my life, I need hope again!
I am feeling the lowest I ever have in my 45 years being on this earth. I feel like I have failed so miserably that I will never recover. How do we go on when we feel broken, helpless and hopeless? I can't get a job and I am already in such debt that I will loose my house and my credit. There is no way to catch up. It's hard to go on when life looks so ugly and hopeless. Please pray for me and my family. I don't want to give up, it feels so hopeless.

Big Dave
BgDave I prayed for you. You can get a job.
All things are posable through God who does strengthen you. I agree that you are going through some real tough times right now.
When things are real good they always get worse, and when things are real bad they always get better. Better times will come around. I pray that better times will come around for you swiftly. God bless you and your famaily.

BgDave, dont lose faith and I mean that in the most sincere sense. I dont consider myself a "holy roller"..lol. But I can tell you I have seen some very low times in my life. Times when Ive had to look up to see the bottom. Although I cannnot relate to your specific situation I can certainly relate to the feelings your having. When I was feeling what your feeling the only thing I could do was to ask God for help. there was no where else to turn. And then Listen...quiet yourself and listen to the answers. I dont know you. I do know you will get out of this and be stronger for it. God speed and again, keep your faith

Hi from another Dave!
As I do, you might find comfort and help in these verses from the Bible (mostly from "The Message" - see biblegateway.com)
Phil. 4: 13:
Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am.
I Cor. 10:13:
No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he'll never let you be pushed past your limit; he'll always be there to help you come through it.
Romans 8:28:
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (NIV)
Matt. 6:34:
Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.
Proverbs 3:5-6:
Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
don't try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;
he's the one who will keep you on track.
Deut. 30:11:
This commandment that I'm commanding you today isn't too much for you, it's not out of your reach.
Jeremiah 29:11-13:
11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Isaiah 40:31:
But those who wait upon God get fresh strength.
They spread their wings and soar like eagles,
They run and don't get tired,
they walk and don't lag behind.
Romans 12:12:
Don't burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master, cheerfully expectant. Don't quit in hard times; pray all the harder. (The Message)
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. (NIV)

Dave, just a few thoughts that have helped me get through some tough times. It say in the Bible...." Do not be afraid" 365 times. That's one time for every day of the year. It also says "it came to Pass". I've been using that one for over 30 years now!
and Finally the one I tell myself almost daily.....God is in Control. I'll be praying for you and your family. Remember you are not alone. God is with you and others are praying for you. Take care.

My biggest fear is that I will not be able to cope with all this loss and will lose my mind completely and fall apart. I am so afraid of being homeless and crazy, alone, cold and hungry. I know this is all "what if" thinking and I need to stop getting that far ahead of what is now actually happening. Things just feel that hopeless! I thank you all for doing what you can to help me believe GOD is there and does love me, Thank you for your prayers!
Hi Dave,
My Mom used to always say what you focus on you give power to. My encouragement to you is not to focus on your fear but on the Bible verses that so many people posted. Even Jesus Himself fought off the enemy with scripture. There is power in His Word. He will not let you fail. He will give you all that you need.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My prayers are with you. I just started the program, and I have been unable to work for one year. On and off before that. I just purchased Joel Olsteen's cd set, "Become a Better You." I have found it very inspiring, and it gave me a different perspective on things so far. I, however, am in a marriage where my husband has been very supportive, and I have not had to work. It has put us behind in the winters, but he gets commission in the Spring that usually catches us up. I am still hoping to be able to work again once I have the tools in place to be proactive with my stress and anxiety. You may want to read my profile.
