I was doing well. Had driven the whole trip to work alone and relatively in a calm state. I was so hopeful....then trouble at the school with my daughter. Nothing serious, but it was turned into a big deal by some adults who have political agendas! I really need to go to school to deal with but....work out of town and feel like i shouldn't take off. Had no time for relaxation cd or session last night and many calls and stress from the situation. Only 4 hrs sleep and.....back 1hr and half to work!!!! I could not stop my mind from reeling even while trying to use techniques. No time and no ability to deal with situation cause of out of town job.....although I should be thankful i have one! I feel l am letting my daughter down....i can't give her the supervision she still needs:( My husband helped me make it halfway and i came the rest alone.....still scared of the 1 area on the way to my job....feeling out of control, resentful, and angry that after 15yrs in my profession, i don't have a job in my city....where i can at least be closer. Should i make a move in this economy.....this scares me....but I'm not happy driving this far anymore.

Hi Songgirl--I don't know your whole story, but wanted to congratulate you on driving as far as you did for work. I'm sorry to hear about your daughter and I hope things work out well with her and the school. Keep posting...:) Paislee

Hi Nater,

You said: "I wonder what's the best way I can help here. I want to do volunteer work to help people who are presently in the situation I was. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated."

I have a good answer for you. Report immediately to the Chat Room and listen to everybody spilling their guts out about their latest problems. There are some very very helpful people in the chat room, and the advice they give to people who are asking for help, is wonderful.

Of course we spend a lot of time kidding and joking with each other, and getting better acquainted. Unlike the Forums, the Chat Room is IMMEDIATE and powerful. Try it--I think you might really like it! The Chat Room brings out some of the very best that our community has to offer. :)
