Scared and Hurting

I started Prozac 5 days ago. Today I am having muscle pain in my back, shoulders, arms and legs.I also get really sick and anxious feeling within in a couple of hours before I have to take it again. I take it at bedtime then I have a hard time waking up and doing anything. I want to sleep all day. Is all of this normal and can I still take my anti anxiety meds with the Prozac.

LOST,YES YOU CAN AND SHOULD TAKR YOUR ANTI-ANXIETY MEDS WITH PROZAC. BUT I AGREE WITH THE OTHER 2. TALK TO YOUR MD. IF IT IS CAUSING YOU PAIN YOU SHOULD SWITCH TO ONE OF THE NEWER ONES.PROZAC WAS MY 1ST OF MANY ANTI-DEPS. I WAS PRESCRIBED ANTI-ANXIETY MEDS WITH IT......MALIKYE

I have only been on Prozac a couple of days body aches could possibly be from anxiety I feel better after I take the Prozac just really sleepy and getting anxious a couple of hours before I take it couldit be from not staying in my body long enough?

Hopefully they started you on a low dose as that is the way to decrease initial side effects. You need to talk to the doctor. Some of the side effects leave after a couple of days while you are adjusting but it doesn't hurt to check in.

This is a serious post and I agree you should call your doctor.

On a lighter note I logged on this morning and saw your thread and thought it read "Scared and Hunting". I was wondering why you'd be hunting...then I read it again
