What medication(s) are you taking? Need more info! Are you familiar with "sleep hygeiene"? I take zolpidem (Ambien) 10-15 mg per night. If I "fight it" I can stay awake through it and do all kinds of things and sleep almost not at all but you're supposed to take it and lay down.

God bless the other souls out there like me. I'm on Lunesta and 2 Xanax. I also take 20 mg melatonin and 2 Nyquil AND I was up several hours last night!!!! I tried to call in to change to Rozerom. Anybody have any thoughts or suggestions? Bev

I've really had the best results w/ Amitryptelene, even in low doseages w/ a Lorazepam (like Xanax). I've tried just about everything else and have half filled bottles of everything you have listed including natural stuff as well. It'll give me 4hours straight and then usually I can fall back asleep as well w/ the relaxation tape for another couple of hours. THIS is a milestone considering I haven't slept well in years. Mornings are really tough yet... anyone have any suggestions, like exercise early, or eating right away. I will always have a loose bowel and everything. Thanks.

have had little luck with most all sleep aids, prescription and OTC. Find that keeping a regular schedule of to bed and wake up helps greatly. Bedroom for sleeping and intimate activities only! No TV!!! Sometimes read light material, Bible. Get up weight workout, light breakfast, run at lunch, get outside as much as possible. I've improved my duration and quality. Of course this is not true for all nights. On those nights where I cannot stop mind, .25 clonazepam and lights out.......

I take .05 clonazepam and I also take 100 mg of Seroquel... that definitely makes me sleep. You should ask your Dr. about this... I asked him to please give me something to sleep because I was waking up at like 4 and couldn't get back to sleep and talk about anxious... Good Lord was I anxious. The Seroquel has really helped.

I take ambien, and I cannot fall, or stay asleep anymore. Could my body just be used to it, and it doesn't work anymore ? I've taken it for years.

Most likely you've become used to the Ambien. It happened to me too. Bev
