For the last couple of weeks i have been sweating for no reason really. It started with sweating on my upper lip. then i will be sitting and start sweating on my forhead and upper lip. this is causing me anxiety. i have been under stress lately. i went to the doctor and they ran an ekg and blood work. cholestrol was a little high but she thinks its my anxiety. its just wierd to me that i just break into sweats. its not like it is real hot in the room or anything. just worried that it could be a sign of a heart attack or something.

It's easy to go to the extremes when trying to come up with a reason for something like this. On the one hand, you do not want to over-react and think you have some mortal illness. On the other, you do not want to dismiss it as nothing at all.

I assume you have issues with anxiety, like me and many others here. You went to the doctor, and apparently they drew blood. They found the cholesterol a little high, but nothing else. It's pretty safe to assume they also checked glucose levels, triglycerides, and all that. If there were something significant underlying this, they would most likely have found it.

Keep a notepad with you. Next time this happens, immediately write down the time of day, where you are, and what you were thinking about. See if some sort of pattern or clue to it can be teased out of your notes over time.

If you read the thread about Mind and Body symptoms due to anxiety you will see Sweating is right there in the first list. It's pretty common. Do get a check up to rule out thyroid and diabetes. Those cause sweating too. But yeah it's very common to us anxiety filled peeps

Are you female? Could this be hot flashes?
