Glad to hear that I am not the only one that has had panic attacks after eating grilled chicken. I started keeping a food diary and noticed wheat bread and grilled chicken brought on panic attacks for me. I have been sticking with oatmeal, tuna, soup, and total cereal lately. I feel that you should stick with healthy foods and maybe keep a food diary for a little while to document if there are any changes in the way you feel after eating certain foods.

I never worry about becoming alleric I always worry about food poisoning. Especially botulism. I have caused myself an anxiety attack and a trip to the ER when I got a DPT vaccine last summer. Chances are...your not alleric it's simply another way your anxiety is rearing its head up to say howdy. Talk to your doc and just say you want to be tested for food allergies. You don't need to go into great detail, just say you've been having some symptoms that worry you and you think it might be a food allergy. Either you do or you don't. Once you know you can work on your anxiety. Hang in there! :)

thx guys! My psychologist did an MMPI and tree/house/person drawing test on me last thursday. I get the results this thursday.

I think if I break it down there are a lot of excuses as to why I have myself thinking this way. I should have seen it coming. Its just crazy how I can think myself into something like this. I am eating a little more. Its not like I am starving myself.
I do see my family doc on the 25th. He is usually pretty good about testing me for stuff if I ask. He knows I am an anxious person. So hopefully he will test me.

Shello,

If I were you I'd go get an allergy test to ease your mind! I got one and they aren't bad, and then you know what you're allergic too. I started having allergic reactions to apples but nothing crazy, my lips would get tingly and puff up a bit..and I lived! yay! haha.

I am allergic to all tree nuts and peanuts, which are really legumes. I used to be allergic to many more things, including egg whites, but have outgrown nearly all of my childhood allergies. Fortunately, none of my allergies are so severe that I need an epi-pen. Nonetheless, when I do eat nuts, the results are pretty unpleasant.

What I've learned is that if I carry an antihistamine (I use Benadryl) with me, I can take it when I've eaten something I'm allergic to and the symptoms are greatly reduced. If you have a fear of allergies, talk to your doctor about this option. It won't work for everyone, especially those that are acutely allergic to something, but it certainly can help.

I do want to get allergy tests just for peace of mind. I really do feel I have an allergy to milk and shell fish. I don't think its anything serious but I get pretty darn sick from those.

I got my results from testing. I have typical anxiety with psychsomatic tendency's. I think most anxiety people do. Plus my anxiety is typical caused by some marriage intimacy issues. UGH!
