For as long as i have done the negative self talk i have told my self "If i didn't worry about it, i wouldn't do it".

I have developed this mindset that its the worries and negative self talk that keeps me motivate to get done the things i need to do. Here is an example, I would say to my self
"You have not seen your friends in a while, if you don't seem them regularly they wont want to be your friend any more"
This thought would then give me the motivation to make some plans and get out of the house.

After having written all that it seems to me that calling the negative thoughts motivation is just an excuse to let me talk to my self that way.

Has anyone else experienced this? How can i abandon the negitive thoughts and still stay motivated for life?

You could put it another way. Change the way you talk to yourself. Put a reason as to why you want to see your friends. By listing positive reasons to stay in touch with your friends, you are more likely to do it.

Also, praise yourself for accomplishing the goal.
That is how you change negative self talk to positive is to list the positive and rewarding outcomes you want in life. :) Paislee
