Hi all. I am a 38 year old single mom of three. I have suffered from depression for a while but within the past year I've gotten considerably worse and started experiencing major panic attacks. They would paralyze me and make me physically ill. I would sweat to no end and wonder what was wrong with me. I would cry because of the fear of these attacks at times. Within the past couple months I've started to feel so lonely. I could have people around me and I just feel lonely and alone. I don't feel like this is normal, what's wrong with me? I've about had it with my doctors and all the meds they have me on.

I'm hoping this program really helps me and sets me down a new path for life, because I feel the one I'm on is a dead end.

Can anyone else relate to how I feel? It's so very frustrating.

Welcome.

Yes, I think everyone here can relate to you. And to answer your question, you are normal. You are just suffering from anxiety and now you are here to work on it just like all of us. You are in a place where you can get help so take heart. Session 2 will give you skills to start working on your panic attacks. You will find out that once you stop 'fearing the fear' they will stop coming. The program is awesome and will give you all the tools you need. Just be patient with yourself and work the steps and you will recover!

Welcome, Yes, you are at the right place! :) I also learned to go with the feelings and the fear did go away. Now it is working with where did all this anxiety come from. Keep on posting...you are not alone. :) Paislee
