Well Mrs T, I'm a '65 baby so we're not far apart at all ! I really do remember all of that stuff (double stick popsicles and all) LOL Once in a while, when I'm really stressed out, I close my eyes and remember the times before the government took half my paycheque (yes, that's how it's spelled in Canada) LOL and I remember going down to the field at the end of the street and all of the neighbourhood kids would mow it so we could get a game of baseball going. Then BOOM before you know it, everyone moves away to find work and everything changes. .......but I can still close my eyes and think back. Maybe one day I'll run into the old gang and get a game of baseball going ! LOL Except this time, we'll have to move slower so we don't pop a hip ! LOLOLOL

"One More Step"
That's how it goes. Day by day living in the moment :) Not obsessing over the woulda coulda shouldas and shoulding all over ourselves. Those are some of the biggest and best lessons I am learning here and I am so thankful that we have this site and each other to cheer each other on. Thank You Jamie for creating this thread to remind us to stay on task and to walk on.One step at a time. You are a good friend!!
Thanks to Mano and Berengar and THH and Mrs T and Creamcheese and Kathi and all those who pop in with their kind words of encouragment. Blessings on ya and have a wonderful rest of the week and a way cool Thanksgiving.
xoxo
Jilly~

Hey gang!
Been busy baking pies!
Oh me too. ( Joe Walsh b4 Eagles) I liked Toto too!!! LOL...
Manofmusic,
Good for you on taking a break from home improvements. I still have not seen my painter??? He better not show up after next week, I say no to tearing up my house a few weeks before the holiday!
I spoke with some friends out west and they are getting snow! Here in the Mid-West its been another month of fall. ;)
I am with you Man O, snow for December. I like it with Christmas snow the light fluffy stuff with all the lights and decorations out. Its a lovely feeling. Everything looks so clean!

I liked Mrs.T post too! Those were fun days to remember. The little kid in us that will never out grow!

To all of you, even the manofmusic, Happy Thanksgiving, hope everyone has a warm house and family and friends to share their day with!

Here is a song, It remindes me of the old days, Hope you enjoy it!
Have a great day! :)

I hope everyone's Thanksgiving was filling ! LOL

How did everyone cope with "Black Friday" ? Anyone tackle the malls or did you stay far away from them like I did ? (There's something to be said for starting and finishing the Christmas shopping in July ! LOL)

I dealt with an attack this morning. I had to do some grocery shopping today. I knew the place would be packed. I was aware of my breathing all the way there and as I got out of the truck in the parking lot, I felt light-headed. I didn't know if I should go in. I told myself that I've delt with this a million times before and I can do it one more time. Well, I don't know who all of the cars in the lot belonged to, but the place was empty ! I went in, did what I had to do - I did space out once - but I walked slower, hung on a few times and then got to the cashier. The place started to spin a bit. I closed my eyes, breathed and when I opened my eyes, the spinning stopped. I got back to my truck and patted myself on the back. That was my day !

Jill - That's what this site is all about. cheering each other on. How's life treating you now ?

Mrs T - I really tried to find 2 stick popsicles. None to be found. I guess popsicles aren't for sharing anymore. *sigh*

Berengar - I give myself permission to be anxious . I just hate it when it happens ! LOL

THH - I heard that song once a long time ago ! It was playing on my brother's turntable. THAT'S how long ago it was ! Good pick ! Has the painter shown up yet ? I'm taking this weekend off from working on the bathroom. Probably next weekend too. I want to get it done by the end of this year though. I still need to pick up tiles and glass blocks.

Hope everyone is breathing normally ! LOL

We had a very nice day, ate too much but everything was sooo good! :D

I'm like you manofmusic, there is not one thing I want bad enough to be some place in the wee hours of day!( with 1000's of people!)I'll pay the $5.00 extra!

You did a very good job while going to the store! I liked how you pushed your self a bit more and went in. The cool thing was it wasn't what you expected and even though you could have got your self more upset, you chose to go with it and you did!! Very empowering. :)
I had a situation myself with a family member just on the phone. I felt the feelings of overwhelm as she spoke to me. I realized I was making what she said too big. And I started to let it go, be myself, float and I didn't hang up angry, or upset. I was proud of my self!
I hope everyone had a good holiday. :)

Manofmusic,
I do like the southern rock! Its that rebel in me! LOL... And I love Marshal Tucker!!! You peeked in my folder of up coming post! LOL...Dang!
I Love Rosemary too! Your absolutely right it melts the blues away!

I'm bringing out some traveling music! Sit back and rock out to.....

Bravo for not hanging up the phone ! The problem with people like us is that we make mountains out of mole hills. I have to keep reminding myself that if someone wants to talk down to me or pass their "to do" list off on me or try to plan my life for me, it's ok to just say no. They don't need a reason, all they need to know is "no".

Today, I decided to make a conscious effort to not let things bother me. I went to work and it ended up being a really good day ! No complaints from me today. LOL

Golden Earring !!!!! WOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

This ain't southern but they are one of my favourite groups EVER !

Manofmusic,
CRAZZZZZZZZZZY ON YOU, I love that song too! Heart has soooo many good tunes, excellent pick. I think that is my fav. :D

Oh you have that right on the mountains out of mole hills. Now that I know I do this I'm getting better at thinking of my tools and making them bigger too. It helps me remember to use them. Before my problems where HUGE and my skills were wee. I'm getting better at making them the same size! :)

Ok my turn....hummmm.
