One More Step

Hi everybody! This is my first reply to this post, but there's so much action here I couldn't resist!

One of my goals is to get back into playing guitar and singing like I used to do all the time before my son left for college. But with all your Youtube links you gave me an idea: I want to get my "chops" back, record some videos of me doing songs, and post them on Youtube!Plenty of people do it--how much worse could I be than some of them?

Sometimes I think of a favorite band, then search Youtube for "bandname cover" to listen to what people sound like when doing versions of songs I know. You can actually hear interesting stuff this way.

Maybe I'll get myself up there someday.Something to think about anyway.

Welcome gooroov! I was also attracted to this particular post area because of the amount of activity. It's nice to come here for fun and random chatter, but it's important also for me to know these other folks can help me when I am going through a particularly tough time. It's not all seriousness here, but can be when it's needed

Relative to the songs... just do it! If you have the time, do it while the passion is fresh so you don't regret not doing it down the line

Thanks, you put that ooooh ooooh ooooh in my head! I know exactly the song! It is good but the stay power is long lasting! LOL... I never heard your last song????? I can't believe there is such a song! LOL...I liked it.

Welcome! I think you have a great goal! Be sure to post you music so we can see and hear it! Some of those posted are really very good. I like to watch them.

Hey everyone, good to see there is lots of good stuff going on here. I see we have a guitar player on board. I did take lessons once and it fizzled but I would love to get back into it again once I move out of state in a month.

That was the first concert I ever went to and I saw him 2 more times since then. I didn't think the motown could be topped but I think you just did !!!!!!!!

I'm really going to have to give the next one some thought.
