Last night, I had a to work, and I was having pretty bad anxiety. I felt like I couldn't breathe, and my heart was racing. It was very uncomfortable, and I actually told my boss I didn't feel good and left. I don't like running away from my anxiety, but I felt like I was going crazy, and it was hard because i was cashiering, and I had to directly interact with people, so it was very nerve racking. It seems like this is a daily thing, constantly convincing myself that something's wrong with me and I need to go to the hospital, when in reality I'm healthy and have no health problems. How can I convince myself that I'm okay?

:) You are in a good session. using the six steps to ending a panic attack is great along with session 3 positive self talk. You need to use both of these methods everytime you have a panic attack or just straight up anxiety. It will help you. You just have to believe in yourself. When I started using both session 2 and 3's methods it seemed like my panic attacks and my scary thoughts would never go away but I stuck with it. I wrote positive notes throughout my car and my house and stuck them on my walls mainly in places where I go to the most often and repeat them to myself everytime I saw them. A few that I used were: I am Strong, I am powerful, I Will Never Quit etc... It didn't feel like it at first but I finally started to believe those words and that's why I believe that I'm now in session 9 and my anxiety and fears are not constant. Before this program, I have been battling anxiety and depression for many years. Most of my days now I don't even realize I have anxiety and depression and when I do I'm not scared by it anymore allowing me to keep facing my fears which will eventually rid myself of anxiety. If I can do it I know you can. You just have to have patience and work through your fears. Remember, everyone is different and we all heal at our own pace. You know it's anxiety and it's not going to hurt you. Don't give up!!!

Thank you :) I just want to be able to live my life normally, not get anxious about going to work, getting up in the morning, and taking a shower. I always have that uneasy feeling in my stomach. I just want to feel carefree and happy and do whatever I want, and not feel held back because I think I'm gonna be anxious or something. I'm on session 4 right now. I'm strong, I just need to think positive thoughts. How can I constantly think good thoughts, and get rid of the negative thoughts in the best effective way?

 You can't force your mind to think positively but you can retrain it to think positively. By that I mean everytime you get a negative thought write it down and replace it with a positive one. For example a negative statement would be I hate myself the positive statement would be I love myself, I am a good person and I deserve to be happy. I kept a notebook specificly for writing down the negative statement and then a positive response to it.Also, write those positive notes throughout your home where you'll see them most often. I kept repeating them everytime I saw them. Also, keep a journal. Write in it everyday about your anxiety and your how your feeling. Always speak to yourself with the utmost respect. If you speak to yourself negatively immediately change it to a positive. Doing all these things is what helped end my negative thinking and got me thinking positive but you have to keep at it. I know that it's scary and it may not seem possible at this point but you will be carefree and happy again. Just hang in there!!!
