Hey Brandon -
I took seroquel for a while several years ago. I didn't have that reaction but it didn't help me much either. However, I've had a tough time finding any medications that work well for me. The ones that I do take help partially but I still have anxiety and depression that come right past the meds.
I don't know if this is the case for you, but sometimes when you take medications and they start working, underlying emotions can come out since you're less focused on your anxiety, OCD, depression, etc. I know that these conditions really pi$$ me off and there is a lot of frustration and anger that I don't properly release. So perhaps you were already angry and now it's finally getting recognized. I don't know that's true for you but it's something to consider.
You should probably discuss it with your prescribing doctor. That way you can help rule out whether it's a side effect of the medication or something else like what I described.

Good perspective. I'm on 600 mg right now, and she wanted to increase it even more, but I didn't want her to. It makes me itch severely after showering. It makes me very tired, very hungry, and angry. I do have a lot of anger problems, though, and it might just be that the meds are amplifying it. But then again, i've been on so many diff. types of medication, and like you said, they never help drastically. Most have made me worse with their side effects. I do realize toaday that there is no magic pill. Oh how I wish there was, though.

I just started seroquel again and am up to 150mg at 200 i become extremely moody. funny, it's supposed to help manage that and it's only making it worse. after i had post partum depression with my third son, i was diagnosed with soft bi polar. i have never accpeted that, i kept telling them i was just stressed out and adhd. they finally put me on ritalin and i have my attention back. however, my i'm moody, either ok or depressed. i just purchased the set and can't wait to get started.

Hi all ~ Just got my materials for this program last week (Aug/2010). I was taking seroquil for 2 years up until Jan of 2010. Then because my sugar numbers got high we changed off. I went to geodon and then abilify and wound up right back at the beginning. So now I'm back on the seroquil. But this time I know it causes a craving for, especially, carbs shortly after you take it, but so do many of these drugs. So I got a meter and measure my blood levels before and after meals not every day but at least 5 times a week. Then I changed my diet: no more white flour; white sugar; no processed foods or candy; no caffeine; no chocolate; nothing that comes out of a freezer in the store either. I am on fresh foods veggies and fruits; nuts and seeds work well at snack time. It's just a very different mind-set to change your eating. There are many books out on healthy diets, and the American Diabetes Association has it's own cookbook. So I have to watch the weight gain and my sugar numbers.
