Yeah, I know what the feeling is like that it seems you are the only one in the world without job. It hits home big time when you have to pay a bill. Others may be in the same unemployment boat, but you are the only one staring at that Visa/MasterCard bill that has your name on it.
You're definitely right in saying how we can run ourselves down with our thoughts. I did a pretty good job of that this weekend.
Enjoy your long weekend. Next weekend is Memorial Day and then a few days after is my wedding anniversary. I think we'll be targeting the June 4 weekend.
Thanks for the input, brother.
BTW: the children issue I was referring to was too many nieces and nephews (all 10 yo and under.)

Cloie,
Thank you, thank you so much for the messages (the 2nd one was so on the money
), the link in the first one, and the anniversary well-wishes.
Thankfully things (including my emotions) have picked up. I got my first sale from the project! This of course offsets this week's unemployment pay amount, but this would happen if I got a temp job.
I am happy not only for the sale but in working one activity of the project, I have been "in the zone" and loving it! In terms of work-related activities, whether it is for a job or entrepreneurial, I have never had the enjoyment like I've had a couple of days ago. I am not referring to the resulting paycheck or sale profit; I am speaking of the activities to get that check or profit. 99.9% of my job duties I have hated, which has been an enduring source for depression and other negative emotions. I have had other business attempts and their activities do not come close in terms of enjoyment to this week's duties.
On Friday I started feeling a positive “coming full circle.” I graduated in the late 80 with a BA and concentration in journalism. I love to write. Over the past 20 years I developed and maintained a desire to be an entrepreneur. My project has a lot writing involved, and is a business!
I thanked the good Lord for this week’s events.
Enjoy your holiday weekend!

I don't understand companies that interview for positions that won't be there until September ! That's painful ! I don't know what to say, Chuck.
I can tell you that any job I ever got was never advertised. I just went knocking on doors whether they were hiring or not. Now mind you, the last time I did that, the economy wasn't this bad. I know you've done all you can do, so I don't know what to say.
