I suppose I need a bit off encouragement, every day just feels like a struggle, everyday is just the same battle with depression and being fed up and anxious, I have come to accept it but it doesn't make it any easier to be honest. There is no joy in my life anymore, I have no interest in anything, nothing that brings happiness, I just pray this programme works for me as it really is my last port of call, I am giving it my all so I want back what I put in.

Hello Schlappy,

Feelings like you described here can certainly fuel a sense of discouragement and even frustration. It sounds to me like you do need one thing going for you: Action. When you get down in the dumps like you describe it's time to get up and begin from where you are. If you have the program/me then by all means begin using it. I can assure you it will work for you if you work with it. Also, be sure and see your doctor to rule out a physical cause for your depression- that is important. But realize that the role your thoughts play in how you feel and behave is huge- and under your direction. You control what you put in your head and thus how you feel. Also, remember that your worth is without question and you always deserve another chance. Refuse to give up on yourself no matter how rough this journey may seem to you. All change can be painful at times, but it isn't forever. And in time, speaking from personal experience, you will wake up one day and realize how much better your life feels to you. Then you may even wonder what all the fuss was about. So hang in there, be an active participant in this, and never quit. You can do it! Good luck my friend!

Even though this wasn't a reply to one of my posts, I read it and it gave me some hope. Thank you. Times are tough, and feeling hopeless is something I can definitely relate to. Thanks for the encouragement. I'm going to print this and add it to my 'collection' that I have taped to my bedroom wall right next to my door.
